Antje starting a hanky on a traditional long Spanish pillow.

Welcome to my personal bobbin lace web page

I am Antje González and I live near Guadalajara, a town with 75 thousand inhabitants, next to Madrid. My favourite hobby  is making bobbin lace, which takes most of my free time. I not only enjoy making bobbin lace, but also reading and learning about different  techniques, stitches and styles.

Most books and magazines about bobbin lace are written in English, French or German. That means that it is necessary to speak these languages in order to be able to understand this information. This is the first reason that pushed me to create this web site: to provide Spanish lacers the information available in the Internet not only on books and magazines, but also on courses, materials, photographs, etc. and that I find especially interesting. I hope you find it useful too.

The second reason that made me create this site is to share with other lacers my enthusiasm for this craft. Bobbin lace is a relaxing activity, it keeps our minds busy, offers so many possibilities of crossings and twistings that there is always something new to explore. At the same time, to finish a piece of bobbin lace produces an intense satisfaction. I am sure these advantages are the reason for us lacers never wanting to stop lacing and keep learning.

I am looking forward to your advises and opinions.
