Dear Sir,
I have learnt that during the past month of March, as it has been happening for many years now, the government of your country has authorised the killing of hundreds of thousands of seals, ostensibly to reduce their impact on fish stocks.
I am writing this letter to express my firm refusal of such barbarism, which evidences the real underlying spirit of modern western societies, that is, a totally anthropocentric view of the world.
The one and only agent of the destruction of fish stocks is the human being, the real harmful presence on this planet. As if this were not enough, the human being blames the seals, the same animals that (what a strange coincidence!) are being killed and
exterminated so that a bloody industry can thrive by trading their body parts (skin, fat, meat, etc.).
Thank you in advance for your time and attention and I trust that you will forward my letter to the member of government responsible for such matters in your country.

He sido informado de que durante el pasado mes de marzo, como viene ocurriendo desde hace años, el gobierno de su país ha autorizado la matanza de cientos de miles de focas, al parecer para reducir el impacto que éstas causan en la población de peces.
El motivo de la presente es expresarle mi más firme repulsa de tal barbarie, que evidencia el verdadero espíritu subyacente de la moderna sociedad occidental, que es una visión absolutamente antropocéntrica del mundo.
El único y verdadero destructor de las reservas de pesca es el ser humano, la única presencia dañina en éste planeta. Por si no fuera suficiente, el ser humano culpa a las focas, el mismo animal que (¡qué coincidencia!) es exterminado para sostener la
sangrienta industria que comercia con su cuerpo (piel, grasa, carne, etc).
