50th EXHIBIT OF FLOWERS, MONUMENTS, PATIOS & GARDENS
MAY 14th - MAY 22nd, 2005
COL·LECCIÓ JORDI TARDÀ
MAY 13th - MAY 29nd, 2005
"Girona, Temps de Flors" (Girona, Flower Time) is an exhibit of flowers, monuments, patios & gardens. This year, once again, it invites citizens from all around to involve themselves intensely in the city’s old and new surroundings. For yet another year, Girona’s old quarter has been turn into a garden of gardens, all of them united by the exceptional monumental heritage.
In this context, a Beatle exhibit has been performed in Girona, "PER SEMPRE BEATLES" (BEATLES FOREVER), from May 13th to May 29th, in the "Claustre del Carme", the cloister of the "Palau de la Diputació", coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the visit of The Beatles to Spain and the 25th anniversary of the John Lennon's death.
All the items exposed in this exhibition belongs to JORDI TARDÀ , a catalan journalist, music critic, concert promoter, radio host, promoter during 18 years of one of the most important Record Fairs in Europe, and himself a compulsive collector, mainly of The Rolling Stones, but the owner of a very huge Beatles collection too, who soon (we hope)will inaugurate the ROCK MUSEUM in an unknown city of Catalonia, Spain or even Europe.
This exhibition, a little sample of the future museum, consisted of 25 showcases dedicated to the Beatles and two dedicated to Johnn Lennon.
