# CONSTRUCCIÓN - BUILDING  ________________________________________

  Siempre había querido hacer un portaaviones japonés y este fue mi primer barco de este tipo a esta escala. No tenía mucha idea de cómo podía empezar, ni tampoco experiencia con el aerógrafo, así que fui construyendo el casco sin añadir detalles y después lo pinté con el gris naval japonés que reseño en el apartado de pintura.

  La cubierta dio muchos problemas de construcción y pintura. No encajaba bien y hube de usar de lija y paciencia para que ajustase.

  La maqueta está construida tal como viene en la caja, añadí únicamente el cableado de los mástiles, aunque próximamente le añadiré barandillas de fotograbado y algunos cables más que no puse al terminarla.

  I had always wanted to build a Japanese aircraft-carrier and this was my first ship of this type at this scale. I didn't know well how I should start and hadn't much experience with my airbrush, so I started building the hull without adding any details and then I painted it in the Japanese navy grey that I point out in the painting section.

  The flight deck was difficult to build. It didn't fit well and I had to use sandpaper and much patience to correct it.

  The model was built right out of the box, only adding mast rigging. I hope to add PE railing soon and some other details I didn't make after finishing it.

  Las primeras fotos no son buenas, pues mi cámara de entonces no daba mucho juego, pero puede apreciarse lo suficiente. En la primera imagen, puede verse el casco tras pintarlo. En la segunda foto, al acabar la pintura de la línea de flotación. Las dos últimas fotos muestran  los aviones (ningún detalle extra) y los mástiles con sus cables (hilo de pescar muy fino).

  La cubierta de vuelo fue pintada con Humbrol H 93 Arena, color que creí el más aproximado a la madera entonces.

►Gris naval japonés: Tamiya XF-63 German grey (33%) + XF-53 neutral grey (66%).

►Línea de flotación: Tamiya XF-9 cocoa brown.

►Chimenea: Tamiya XF-1 flat black.

►Cubierta de vuelo: Humbrol H 93 (Arena) .

►Óxido: Colores al pastel.

►Aviones: Tamiya XF-11 JN green y XF-12 JN grey (Nakajima B5N Kates). Vallejo Model Color 951 Blanco 95% + 965 Azul de Prusia 5% (A6M Zeros)

  The first pics are not good but my camera was not  extraordinary either. Anyway, perhaps you can see enough. The first picture shows the hull after painting it. The second one, the water line once finished. In the last two you can see the planes (no extra part added) and the masts with rigging (very thin fishing line). 

  The flight deck was painted with Humbrol H 93 Sand. I thought then this colour was the most similar to wood.
